Women’s Health Care That Helps You Feel Heard

Women’s health is personal, and it should never feel rushed, awkward, or brushed aside. At Better Health Primary Care, our office provides women’s health care in a way that feels thoughtful, respectful, and easy to talk about. Whether you are coming in for a routine visit, a Pap smear, gynecology care, or a concern you have been putting off, we are here to help you feel comfortable and cared for.

We know that many women spend a lot of time taking care of everyone else. Your own health can get pushed to the bottom of the list, even when something does not feel quite right. Maybe your periods have changed, you are dealing with discomfort, you have questions about menopause, or you know you are due for a screening. Whatever brings you in, we want you to feel like your concerns matter.

Our office can help with preventive care, Pap smears, common gynecology concerns, vaginal or urinary symptoms, hormone related changes, and many of the questions women face at different stages of life. We take time to listen, explain what we are seeing, and help you understand your options without making you feel embarrassed or overwhelmed.

If it has been a while since your last women’s health visit, or if something feels off, this is a good time to call Better Health Primary Care. You do not have to wait until a problem becomes bigger. Our office is here to help you get answers, feel supported, and take the next step toward better health.

21,000 Cases of Breast Cancer

That is just Texas in 2024. This is a strong reminder that preventive care, regular conversations with your provider, and staying current on recommended screenings are important parts of women’s health.

Menopause Starts Early 50s

Menopause is a normal stage of life, but symptoms like hot flashes and irregular periods can start years earlier during perimenopause. That is why it helps to talk with a provider instead of just “pushing through it.”

Cervical cancer is 3rd in TX

That is why regular women’s health visits and Pap smears matter, even for younger women who feel completely healthy.

Why its Important

Women’s Health Care for Every Stage of Life

From routine checkups and Pap smears to gynecology concerns, hormones, perimenopause, and menopause, our office helps women get answers, feel supported, and take care of their health with confidence.

Preventive Women’s Health Visits

Make the page feel like an invitation for women to stop putting their health last. Focus on yearly visits, wellness checks, screenings, questions, and concerns that deserve attention.

Pap Smears and Cervical Cancer Screening

This should be a major section. Explain that Pap smears are a simple but important screening that can help find early cervical cell changes before they become more serious.

Gynecology Care for Common Concerns

Include help for irregular periods, pelvic discomfort, vaginal infections, urinary symptoms, discharge, itching, painful periods, and changes that do not feel normal.

Hormones, Perimenopause, and Menopause

Speak directly to women dealing with hot flashes, sleep changes, mood shifts, weight changes, irregular periods, vaginal dryness, or feeling “not like herself.” This section can feel very personal and relatable.

What women’s health services does Better Health Primary Care offer?

Our office helps with many of the concerns women face throughout different stages of life. This includes routine women’s health visits, Pap smears, gynecology concerns, period changes, pelvic discomfort, vaginal symptoms, urinary symptoms, hormone concerns, perimenopause, menopause, and preventive care. We can also talk through symptoms that feel confusing or uncomfortable, even if you are not sure what is causing them.

How often do I need a Pap smear?

The right timing depends on your age, health history, and previous Pap smear results. Some women need screening every few years, while others may need a different schedule based on their risk factors or past results. Even if you are not due for a Pap smear every year, a women’s health visit is still important because it gives your doctor a chance to review your overall health, answer questions, and help you stay current on the screenings that matter.

When should I call about a gynecology concern?

You should call if you notice pelvic pain, irregular bleeding, missed periods, painful periods, unusual discharge, itching, odor, burning, pain during sex, urinary discomfort, or symptoms that are new or getting worse. Some issues may be simple to treat, but others need a closer look. If something does not feel normal for your body, it is worth bringing it up instead of waiting and hoping it goes away.

Can a primary care doctor help with menopause symptoms?

Yes. Menopause and perimenopause can affect your sleep, mood, periods, weight, energy, comfort, and daily life. If you are dealing with hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, sleep changes, mood shifts, brain fog, or irregular periods, our office can help you understand what may be happening. We can also talk through treatment options, lifestyle changes, lab work when appropriate, and next steps based on your symptoms and health history.

Do I need a women’s health visit if I feel fine?

Yes. Preventive care is one of the best reasons to schedule a women’s health visit. You may feel fine and still be due for a Pap smear, breast health conversation, lab work, blood pressure check, medication review, or other important screening. These visits also give you a private place to ask questions about periods, hormones, sexual health, menopause, urinary symptoms, or changes you may not want to ignore.

What happens during a women’s health visit?

Your visit usually starts with a conversation about your health history, symptoms, periods, medications, lifestyle, screenings, and any concerns you want to discuss. Depending on your needs, your doctor may recommend a Pap smear, pelvic exam, lab work, urine testing, medication, treatment for an infection, hormone related care, follow up care, or a referral to a specialist. The goal is to help you understand what is going on and leave with a clear plan.
